Rock legend David Bowie is a name often heard in the music world. Now the British-born star has come to Hong Kong for his first concert there since 1983. Sunday's gig was part of his global "Reality" tour, a seven-month trek across 15 countries and regions.

Most fans stood up for the whole concert without feeling tired. The show began with one of his oldies "Rebel, Rebel", which got the audience off to a thrilling start.

The 57-year-old Englishman has fans as young as 17 in the city - one such teenage admirer spent a hundred and one US dollars on a ticket and felt excited to get her hands on a poster of her eccentric idol.

The tickets were priced from 60 to 205 US dollars, which is about 3 times more expensive than for a pop concert by a local star. Nevertheless, about 90% of the seats were filled.

The concert's 50-song play list included classic hits like 'Ashes to Ashes', 'The Jean Genie', 'Space Odyssey', and 'Let's Dance' alongside songs from Bowie's recently-released album.

The album, the star's 26th, was written and recorded in New York and was heavily influenced by the changes that have taken place in the city following the September the 11th event.
