Politburo proposes date for CPC Congress   2002-09-05 12:20:51 The Politburo of the CPC Central Committee has proposed November 8 for the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Preparations are now under way for this historic meeting. The up－coming CPC National Congress will review China's reform and opening up process as well as outline new strategic plans for future development. It will also elect a new CPC Central Committee and a new Central Disciplinary Inspection Committee.
