A happy mood is running through the country as the people are awaiting the 16th CPC National Congress to open on Friday. In northwest China's Shaanxi Province, people held a gong and drum competition to celebrate the harvest and greet the CPC National Congress. In Zibo city, in east China's Shandong Province, people hung red flags above their doors and decorated their community with flowers and lanterns. Around Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a series of performances were put on. Baise City was decked out with night－lights while in the Kerqin grasslands of Inter－Mongolia, people sang and danced to celebrate the upcoming grand meeting.
