China's first Grand Trek unveiled in Beijing's Tongzhou District,

The first "Grand Trek" road sign, the Grand Canal Trek, was unveiled in Beijing's Tongzhou District recently. This is China’s first "Grand Trek".

The Grand Canal of China is the world's oldest and longest canal, far  surpassing the next two grand canals of the world: Suez and Panama Canal.

Reporters learned that "Grand Trek" is an internationally-popular historical and cultural path designed to commemorate a famous period in history or achieve an outstanding effect for contemplating the landscape. There is for example, a path highlighting the Canal du Midi culture running along the Canal du Midi in France. At present, the US has the most highly developed historical paths in the world.
