"TD network construction is under the most favorable time." Yang Hua said, formerly the government's 3G strategy was not clear, it was difficult for TD industry to attract international enterprises to take participate in effectively, and domestic enterprises also hesitated. "After the prospect of TD was clear, enterprises' enthusiasm had erupted soon."
In the system equipment market, the native suppliers take up about 87 percent market shares in the invitation for bid of China Mobile's Phase I and II network construction. "In the 2G era, the native suppliers take up a small market shares in the domestic market." Yang Hua expressed.
At present, a communication industrial chain taking domestic enterprises as the main body has shaped up encircling the industrialization of TD independent technology. A batch of enterprises have grown up quickly and become innovative enterprises that take charge as chief, making up for the short slab in China's communication industrial chain. Take the link of terminals and network test as an example, in the 2G era, 90 percent of domestic terminals and network test depends on foreign enterprises; nowadays, domestic enterprises take up 90 percent of the market shares.
Not only domestic enterprises have increased the input on TD, those international equipment suppliers who once had doubts about TD have also vigorously invested on research, development and manufacture. "Although at present such international giants as Ericsson, Nokia and Siemens only occupy about 5 percent and 7 percent in the domestic TD market respectively, there is still a huge space in the future market." Yang Hua stated, "To attract international enterprises to join in the TD market has a significant meaning for TD's internationalized development."
In the terminal market, enterprises have shown their enthusiasm obviously. Such domestic enterprises as ZET, Yulong Coolpad and Sunrise Simcom have launched over ten types of new mobile phones in the short two months or so; in the multinational companies, Samsung and LG's new type TD dual mode mobile phones have been put into mass production successively; those terminal suppliers from Western countries and once having shown a wait-and-see attitude will also launch new products, such as Nokia.
