Tibetan culture continues to develop |
Wednesday marks the 50th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet and will be commemorated by scholars of the Tibetan culture.
They said before the peaceful liberation of Tibet in 1951, no books could be accepted worldwide, scientifically reflecting Tibetan history. At the time, books are all about religions and fairy tales. There were a lot of stone tablets from the Tang Dynasty as well, but nobody collects them. After liberation, local government and the circle of historical studies began the collction of these stones, and compiled and published the history books. Over the past 50 years, Tibetan culture has developed very well. Now farmers even living in rural areas have newspapers, and university in Tibet attracted many students from both home and abroad to study Tibetan culture.
