An exhibition on the achievements of Tibet was held Tuesday in Lhasa to mark the 50th anniversary of the region's peaceful liberation.

    The exhibition included over 200 photos and several hundred other items, which have attracted over 500 visitors including top leaders in the region.

    Divided into three parts, the exhibition covered the central government's efforts to protect traditional Tibetan culture, the development of industry, agriculture, transport, and environment protection in the region, and education and tourism achievement in the past five decades.
