In Washington, a handwritten letter belonging to the hijack suspects has been released by the FBI.
At a joint news conference, officials from the US Attorney's office and the FBI reiterated the connection between the hijack suspects and bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network. The five-page letter, written in Arabic, was found in the bags of Mohammed Atta, the suspected organiser of the attacks. He was the hijacker on the first plane that slammed into the World Trade Centre. The letter appears to give the hijackers step-by-step instructions for their suicide mission. FBI Director Robert Mueller said their investigation would look at more than one group associated with Osama bin Laden.
