| US Changes Operation Name to “Enduring Freedom ” |

U.S. Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told reporters on Tuesday that the name for the current U.S. military buildup has been changed to "Operation Enduring Freedom." The change was made after the initial name ran into trouble last week. Islamic scholars said that, in their view, only God, or Allah, could mete out "infinite justice."
Rumsfeld didn't waste time in announcing a new name for "Operation Infinite Justice".
he said, "The answer to the first question is 'enduring freedom'."
Rumsfeld also said he expects coalition partners will evolve over time, depending on activities and circumstances. But he stressed that the "mission" takes priority over the coalition.
he said, "We will see revolving coalitions that will evolve and change over time, depending on the acivity and the circumstance of the country. The mission should define the coalition, and the coalition ought not define the mission."
In response to a reporter's question about the whereabouts of prime suspect Osama bin Laden, the defence secretary removed any doubt about his position.
Rumsfeld said, "If the Taliban knows their country as well as I know they know their country, you'd have to believe in the tooth fairy to think they don't know where his is."
Meanwhile, two weeks after the deadly hijack attacks on the World Trade Center, rescue workers on Monday continued the task of removing the rubble to recover victims' remains and evidence. More than 6,400 people are still reported missing. Authorities say it is unlikely that anyone will be found alive in the rubble now.
