Bush Unveils Most Wanted List of Terrorists
THU, OCT 11, 2001
With American pilots bombing at will from the skies over Afghanistan, U.S. President George W. Bush unveiled a list of 22 most-wanted terrorists at FBI Headquarters in Washington on Wednesday.

The list includes Osama bin Laden and his two top deputies, as well as 13 men wanted for the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

Saying that the war is not against religion, but against evil, the U.S. president declared that "our calling" is the eradication of terrorism around the globe. He was accompanied by Secretary of State Colin Powell, Attorney-General John Ashcroft, and FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Bush spoke after a morning breakfast meeting with senior congressional members, where they smoothed over a disagreement about the distribution of classified information concerning the nation's response to the terrorist attacks of September 11.
