U.S. President George W. Bush said in Washington Thursday that the United States is conducting a new type of war, which is different from that in Vietnam.
Addressing a first prime-time U.S. presidential news conference since 1995, Bush said that the lesson the United States has learned from the Vietnam war is "you can not fight a guerrilla war with conventional forces".
It is now a unconventional war with different type of approach and mentality, he added.
