Some relatives of Taliban's supreme leader Mullah Mohammed Omar including his stepfather and a 10-year-old son have been killed by the early U.S.-led air attacks, according to the leading Pakistani urdu paper Daily Jang on Friday.
The newspaper quoted witness from Kandahar as saying that Mullah Omar escaped U.S. air strikes around his residence in the city on Tuesday, but some of his relatives including his stepfather and son were inside the house and killed by the U.S. missiles.
The paper also said that Taliban envoy to Pakistan Abdul Salam Zaeef had denied the killing of any of Mullah Omar's relatives, saying "All Afghans are his relatives."
