US Bombs Afghanistan Again Early Sunday |

U.S. warplanes bombed Afghan capital of Kabul and the southern Taliban stronghold of Kandahar and Jalalabad early Sunday, marking the start of the second week of the U.S.-led airstrikes against Afghanistan since the bombing started on October 7.
The Pentagon confirmed that a 2,000-pound bomb aimed at a military helicopter had hit a residential area near Kabul airport.
"We regret the loss of any civilian life," the Pentagon said in a statement.
The Taliban claimed that more than 300 civilians have been killed since the bombing began last week.
Reports reaching here said, a group of 19 journalists have been allowed into Afghanistan and arrived early Sunday at a village of Kadam where the Taliban claimed more than 160 died in a U.S.-led airstrike.
