US jets launched renewed pre-dawn air strikes on the Afghan capital of Kabul Thursday, with about four explosions rocking the city, the Cable News Network (CNN) reported.
The Taliban fired a barrage of anti-aircraft fire at the US warplanes.
Meanwhile, a report from Washington Wednesday quoted military officials as saying that US special operations troops capable of clandestine warfare are poised aboard a US aircraft carrier in the Indian Ocean, ready to launch search-and-destroy missions against the terrorists in Afghanistan and their Taliban supporters.
