| French FM: US Getting into Ground Operations Progressively |

"The Americans are now progressively entering into the phase of ground operations of their military strike on Afghanistan, but the operations have not really started," French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine said Friday.
"These operations have not really started, but we are getting nearer," he said.
The French forces might be engaged in certain operations, he said, adding that the military operations will last long time after air strikes in the past two weeks.
"We are in contact (with the U.S.) to establish a planification of an eventual French participation," he said.
