Five people were killed and 10 others wounded after U.S. air raids Tuesday hit several trucks carrying oil from the western Afghan city of Herat to the southern city of Kandahar, known as the Taliban stronghold, the Pakistan- based Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) reported.
The attack came as the oil tankers were passing a bakery, some eight kilometers from Kandahar, AIP said.
It added that two of the trucks caught fire and five bodies were found.
