| Musharraf Opposes Afghan Bombing During Ramadan |

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has spoken out against the US-led bombings of Afghanistan during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Musharraf said bombing in Ramadan would just work for the advantage of those opposed to military action against the Taliban. He stressed that the allied force should avoid civilian casulties and other unnecessary collateral damage in their offensives.
In doing so, he said, the action would be more likely to achieve its aim. Musharraf also denied any involvement in planning the attacks.
