Bush Urges US Citizens to Face Challenge to Hunt Down Terrorists
FRI, NOV 09, 2001
US President George W. Bush told Americans to be vigilant and patient, as the government and the army battle to protect their homeland. Bush urged people to volunteer to work in hospitals and other places on the front lines of the terrorism response.

President George W. Bush on Thursday night gave Americans "marching orders" to use thir eyes and ears to help deter future attacks.

Harkening back to history, Bush tried to explain the enormity of the threat to the United States.

US President George W. Bush said:"Our nation faces a threat to our freedom and the stakes cannot be higher, we are the targets of enemies who boast they want to kill Americans, kill Jews and Kill Christians. We've seen that kind of hate before and the only possible response is to confront it and defeat it."

Bush also tried to reassure citizens about actual and potential biological threat on American soil.

US President George W. Bush added:"The government is purchasing and storing vaccines and medicines as a precaution against future attacks, and cleansing facilities where anthrax has been detected and purchasing equipment to sanitize the mail."

The US President tried to explain how Americans should respond when faced with an unspecified general threat of possible terror attacks. The government has issued two such alerts - one still in effect - while encouraging people at the same time to go about their normal lives.
