JAKARTA, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- The United States Embassy in Jakarta announced Tuesday the cancellation of a memorial service to honor the victims of Sept. 11 tragedy.
Hundreds of guests were initially expected to attend the ceremony scheduled on Wednesday. Among the top guests was Indonesian Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Jusuf Kalla.

The American citizens here are alerted to the possibility of attacks on American targets and advised to keep a low profile in the next few days.
But a senior officer at the Jakarta Police Office denied terrorist threat on the US embassy.
