Chagxi Ciren

Chagxi Ciren was born into a herdsman's family in Tibet. He was recommended to the Tibet Mountaineering Guide School due to physique and aptitude. In 2002, he joined an expedition as a sherpa and scaled the summit a year later. He says the purpose of the efforts and experiences during these years was for one day only, to accompany the sacred flame up Mount Qomolangma.
