Chinese premier attends regional summits

Another summit took place between the leaders of China, Republic of Korea and Japan. They agreed to establish an Internet-based secretariat for better communication and coordinated action in political and economic affairs. They also discussed launching a free trade zone, environmental protection, setting up prevention mechanisms against economic and financial crises, and security cooperation in non-traditional arenas.

Wen Jiabao also held several two-way meetings.
With ROK President Roh Moo-hyun, Wen Jiabao expressed the Chinese government's support on the rapprochement and unification process on the Korean Peninsula. He said China is willing to keep contact with the South and the North and will push forward denuclearization on the Peninsula.
