Chinese premier attends regional summits

With his Japanese counterpart, Yasuo Fukuda, Wen Jiabao said the two sides must cherish the opportunities to improve ties. He said preparations are underway to ensure the success of next year's exchanges programs. They include the first dialogue between Chinese and Japanese business leaders, commemoration activities marking the thirtieth anniversary of the friendship treaty, and youth exchanges.
Yasuo Fukuda said he hopes to visit China at an early date.
Wen Jiabao also met with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. He proposed expanding cooperation in trade, infrastructure and agriculture.
And Wen Jiabao told New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark he hopes for good results from the two-way free trade zone negotiations as early as this year.
Wen Jiabao also attended a party held by Chinese and Singaporean business leaders, where he encouraged the business circle to raise two-way trade to a new level.
