The tracking stations for the Shenzhou 7 mission are ready in position around the globe. Tests on Wednesday showed that the 16 stations, both in and outside China, are functioning well.
Taikonaut Zhai Zhigang completed China´s first spacewalk in the outer space on Saturday afternoon. "I am here greeting the Chinese people and people of the whole world," said the 42-year-old taikonaut.
China´s third manned spacecraft Shenzhou-7 completed orbit maneuver successfully at 4:04 a.m.(Beijing Time) on Friday, entering into the round orbit 343 kilometers above the earth.
China launched its third manned spacecraft on Thursday with three astronauts on board to attempt the country´s first-ever space walk.
